A bowl that lets urushi lacquer speak in its own voice — no pigment, no dye, just the natural color the material takes on its own.
The form draws from antique Ko-Imari porcelain of the Edo period, reimagined in lacquer. Over years of use, natural light will gently lighten its surface — a quiet trace of the time it has spent with you. Like all fine urushi work, it can be repaired again and again, built to be used and loved for a lifetime.
Handcrafted in Fukui, Japan, home to some of the country's most skilled lacquer artisans.
